Volunteer

Serve the community while you train in New Orleans.

When you attend the New Orleans Student Government Training Conference, you’ll have a chance to pitch in and work together to help.

ASGA suggests that you contact Hands On New Orleans to schedule a service activity for your Student Government on Thursday or Friday before the conference on Saturday.

Please note that this volunteer activity is optional, and is not part of the official ASGA conference.

Hands On New Orleans

Help rebuild a home. Tutor a child. Care for abandoned pets. Clean a park. Renovate a school. Lead a volunteer group. Learn about and take action on community issues. Hands On New Orleans offers a variety of ways to get involved while meeting your availability and interests.

  • Volunteer for a one-time project
  • Volunteer before the conference
  • Volunteer alone, or with your institution’s delegation

When you volunteer with Hands On New Orleans, you join people from all backgrounds and experiences. You get a chance to explore issues that shape our community and develop your leadership and job skills.

Get connected. Get more done. Make a difference. Have fun. Be Hands On.
